Radiation Therapist
Job Summary
Talented Medical Solutions is seeking an experienced Radiation Therapist for a contract position in their Radiation Oncology department in Tucson, AZ. The role is hybrid, combining both on-site and remote work options. The ideal candidate should be available for a start date of May 26th, working Monday through Friday with flexible shift times ranging from 0700-1700, totaling 40 hours per week. Shifts are 10 hours long with a half-hour lunch break.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver radiation treatments to patients under the supervision of a medical physicist and radiation oncologist.
- Ensure accurate patient positioning and treatment delivery using advanced equipment such as Varian TrueBeams.
- Document all aspects of patient care and treatment in the electronic health record system.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans.
- Participate in ongoing professional development activities to stay current with advancements in radiation therapy techniques.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in radiation therapy.
- Must have a current license to practice as a Radiation Therapist in Arizona.
- Previous travel experience is preferred but not required.
- Proficiency with Varian TrueBeams equipment.
- Bachelor's degree in Radiation Therapy or related field.
- Knowledge of radiation physics principles and clinical applications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
