Position Highlights
This position provides coverage to 6 ACI locations: Sioux Falls, Mitchell, Yankton, Pierre, Aberdeen and Marshall, MN. It is eligible for paid travel and meal stipend.
What You Will Do
- Delivers prescribed therapeutic radiation doses to patients and accurately monitors and documents each treatment.
- Responsible for patient assessment, direction, and education.
- Incorporates technical knowledge of the equipment and expertise of clinical treatment set-up, anatomical landmarks, treatment recording, and management during patient care.
- Develops an understanding of the patient’s physical and emotional status and reports to appropriate staff.
- Documents patient care and treatment.
- Makes decisions related to patient care and treatment that is necessary beyond normal routine of clinical care.
- Communicates with patient and families regarding treatment.
- Provides patient care and initiates life support measures as necessary.
- Interacts effectively with patients, physicians, family members, department staff, and health care workers.
- Performs computed tomography scans simulations (CT Sims) at a level not requiring constant supervision.
- Understands simulation exam protocols.
- Performs simulation of treatment area under the supervision of the Radiation Oncologist.

- The individual must be able to work the hours specified.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job function satisfactorily including having visual acuity adequate to perform position duties and the ability to communicate effectively with others, hear, understand and distinguish speech and other sounds.
