About the role
The Radiation Therapist performs direct patient care, administers ionizing radiation accurately and precisely for therapeutic purposes, operates modern, complex treatment equipment, performs Quality Assurance duties, and assists with daily patient billing and statistics.
Responsibilities
- Administer ionizing radiation accurately and precisely for therapeutic purposes following the treatment plan prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist.
- Operate modern, complex treatment equipment.
- Perform Quality Assurance duties.
- Absorb and assist with daily patient billing and statistics.
Requirements
- Exceptional communication and patient care skills.
- Aptitude toward the team philosophy.
- Ability to work independently without direct supervision.
- Basic computer skills.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required, graduate of a radiation therapy program preferred.
- Licenses: Current license as a Radiation Therapist by the State of Indiana and current R.T.(T)(ARRT).
