Radiation Therapist - 40 Hours - Days

Responsibilities

• Administers radiation treatments to patients as prescribed by the physician.
• Utilizes specialized equipment, including Linear Accelerator, High Dose Rate (HDR) Afterloader, and Computed Tomography.

Requirements

• A.R.R.T. Radiation Therapy Technology Certification or registry eligible.
• Must meet or exceed core customer service responsibilities, standards, and behaviors as outlined in the HFHS’ Customer Service Policy.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Working Conditions

• Normal office environment with minimal exposure to noise, dust, or extreme temperatures.
• Lifting of patients, moving and pushing wheelchairs/stretchers, and lifting equipment above head, up to 50 lbs.
• Potential exposure to radiation; however, adherence to safety procedures minimizes likelihood of danger.
• Frequent interaction with emotionally depressed and terminally/critically ill patients.
