About the Role
The Radiation Therapist performs radiation therapy and imaging procedures involving the application of X-rays and radioactive substances to patients for simulation and treatment of malignancies and pain. Responsible for the accurate delivery of prescribed planned courses of Radiation Therapy to patients in the Division of Radiation Oncology. Assists in treatment planning and maintenance of prescribed standards, reinforces advice, and monitors patients for unusual reactions and events. Observes Radiation Safety measures for patients and personnel and assists in student teaching and supervision. Additionally, the position provides patient education and performs quality assessment activities for the division under the direction of the Imaging Manager.
Requirements
- Registered or board eligible by the A.R.R.T. in Radiation Therapy Technology
- Licensed by the State of Ohio in Radiation Therapy
Qualifications
- 2-Year College Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
