Radiation Oncology AC Assistant Professor
Description
The Department of Radiation Oncology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Applicants must have an M.D. degree. Required certifications include being Board Eligible or Board Certified for the American Board of Radiology.
Teaching Responsibilities
- Teaching, training, and mentoring of radiation oncology residents, medical physics residents, medical physics graduate students, visiting physics residents or trainees from other institutions or other countries, etc.
- Informal and formal teachings include, but are not limited to, participating in resident didactic series, both as a lecturer and as an in-person discussant.
Clinical Responsibilities
- Treatment of various disease sites
- Evaluation and management of patients diagnosed with cancer
- The delivery of radiation therapy-related care
Location
This position is located primarily at our Pennsylvania Hospital site (800 Spruce Street, Philadelphia, PA 19107).

Penn Medicine delivers a broad range of radiation therapy services to its patients, including intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), high-dose-rate (HDR) brachytherapy, partial breast irradiation, and stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS/SBRT using Gamma Knife /Cyberknife/Varian Linac). Patients will also have access to proton therapy at the Roberts Proton Therapy Center, housing the largest proton therapy facility in the USA, comprising four gantry treatment rooms and one fixed beam room.
