Radiation Oncologist – Assistant/Associate Professor (non-tenure track)

About the Role

The Department of Radiation Oncology at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine seeks a full-time non-tenure-eligible Clinician-Educator at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor who will work collaboratively with other disciplines to advance our clinical and academic missions in the Cancer Program.

Responsibilities

• Participate in National Clinical Trials Network protocols.
• Teach and mentor residents and medical students.

Qualifications

• Board certified and/or eligible by the American Board of Radiology.
• Able to qualify for faculty appointment at the level of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor at the Feinberg School of Medicine, Northwestern University.

About the Department

Northwestern Medicine Radiation Oncology has a number of locations in the Chicagoland area integrated into the Department of Radiation Oncology, Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center and Feinberg School of Medicine. Northwestern Medicine is strong financially with a long tradition of excellence and provides world class radiation oncology services and breakthrough research close to where our patients live and work. We use state of the art, precision technology including a Proton Center, Gamma Knife Espirit, Brachytherapy and all other significant modalities of radiation oncology.

In addition to an excellent clinical practice, the Department of Radiation Oncology has a fully accredited ACGME Medical Residency program, CAMPEP accredited Physics Residency, and JRCERT accredited School of Radiation Therapy. The Department also has a robust clinical and laboratory research program funded by NIH, DOE, DOD, foundations and industry sponsors.

Pay

The expected base pay range for this position is $451,534 - $539,384. The pay offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors including (but not limited to) the experience and qualifications of the selected candidate including years since terminal degree, training, and field or discipline; departmental budget availability; internal comparators; and external market pay for comparable jobs.

Schedule

This position is a full-time, continuing appointment. The start date is negotiable and the position will remain open until filled.
