Radar Systems Engineer (Part-Time)
Responsibilities
Candidate will support a variety of tasks including: support and completion of major technical reviews; producing required acquisition documentation; meeting critical program milestone deadlines; managing program needs and external requirements, and ensuring the right resources are provided to the right priorities at the right time.
You can expect to work on a variety of radar development and integration documents and tasks. Lead and act on behalf of the program's Working Group Leads ensuring the appropriate Systems Engineering processes and discipline is applied across the program. Support technical interchanges and working groups by providing technical expertise in the areas of radar and/or combat systems integration. Conduct technical studies and develop systems engineering documentation as directed by program leadership.
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor's degree in STEM 12+ years of experience in DoD systems engineering
- Proven experience with Navy’s surface radar, and/or combat systems design and certification processes
- DoD Secret clearance and the ability to maintain it throughout employment
- Desired: 15+ year of relevant work experience, particularly in the area of DoD engineering, including experience as a radar Chief Engineer or Technical Warrant holder
- Master of Science degree or higher in a technical field
