The candidate will refine their expertise by working alongside a senior radar engineer to apply foundational RF concepts to the development and analysis of complex, physics-based modeling and simulation of radars and RF phenomenology.
Responsibilities
- Integrate vendor-supplied RF software models into a common C++ simulation framework and all-digital scene generation environment.
- Develop, validate, and optimize math and physics-based component models for RF phenomenology (e.g., radar cross section (RCS), environmental clutter, multipath, and atmospheric propagation).
- Design and develop analysis tools in MATLAB, Python, or C++ to evaluate RF models, digital signal processing algorithms, and overall integrated radar system performance.
Requirements
- US Citizenship.
- Bachelor’s Degree with 7+ years of experience (or Master’s Degree with 5+ years of experience) in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Applied Mathematics or a related technical field.
- Experience using MATLAB, C++, and/or Python to implement mathematical RF models, digital signal processing algorithms, or execute statistical data analysis of radar systems.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven record of effectively communicating complex RF and mathematical topics to multidisciplinary teams and non-subject-matter experts.
- Must have active Secret security clearance.
Qualifications
- Experience involving tactical missile seeker models, phased array radars, or EW simulations.
- Experience integrating digital models into software- and hardware-in-the-loop test environments.
