About the role
The NASA Postdoctoral Program (NPP) offers unique research opportunities to highly-talented scientists to engage in ongoing NASA research projects at a NASA Center, NASA Headquarters, or at a NASA-affiliated research institute. These one- to three-year fellowships are competitive and are designed to advance NASA’s missions in space science, Earth science, aeronautics, space operations, exploration systems, and astrobiology.
Responsibilities
- Processing repeat pass InSAR data
- Implementing efficient data calibration algorithms based on heterogeneous spatial sampling of ground truth points
- Deriving vegetation parameters using ecosystem models
Requirements
- Doctoral degree in relevant field
- Special interest in radar remote sensing of vegetation
- Experience with radar scattering and ecosystem modeling
- Knowledge of Lidar (ICEsat/GLAS) and field data sets
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications
- Strong background in remote sensing and ecosystem modeling
- Experience with InSAR data analysis
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or MATLAB
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
