Your engineering skills and determination are needed to develop the cutting-edge technology used to support the warfighter and maintain national security. Join an energetic team whose day-to-day mission involves breaking down the Air Force’s toughest challenges and communicating the essential results of that work to their leadership.

About the role

As an electrical engineer, you understand the power behind complex systems. That knowledge is key when it comes to modeling foreign threat radar, antennas, weapons, and communication systems. We’re looking for a problem solver who can use their skills to help perform detailed analyses, including the evaluation of the detectability of airborne systems and survivability analyses of weapon systems and platforms to be deployed in future combat scenarios.

This is an opportunity to hone your technical abilities on significant and current engineering problems, all while gaining experience in leadership and communication. Our modeling and simulation team performs a variety of classified analyses of future weapon and platform concepts for DoD clients, and we also develop the detailed models and simulations required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop radar and antenna models
  • Perform modeling tasks, including radar signal processing code development and the development and refinement of weapon models in Fortran, C++, MATLAB, and Simulink
  • Impact the Air Force’s mission by helping determine tactics, techniques, and procedures to improve survivability and vulnerability against foreign threat systems
  • Support informed decision-making for the acquisition of future systems

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience with coding in MATLAB, C++, or Fortran
  • 2+ years of experience working with computational electromagnetic software such as FEKO
  • Knowledge of radar principles for antenna, signal processing, and track filters
  • Ability to work in a dynamic team environment
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science

Nice to have

  • Experience with engineering and mathematics
  • Experience with modeling and simulation
  • Experience with Linux
  • Knowledge of U.S. and foreign combat weapon systems, including airborne and ground-based air defense systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science

Benefits

  • Health, life, disability, financial, and retirement benefits
  • Paid leave
  • Professional development and tuition assistance
