Radar Engineer/Scientist Senior - Secret Clearance

Responsibilities

• Support the development and execution of systems engineering plans from requirements identification through design verification.
• Plan and execute engineering strategies in accordance with approved project acquisition strategies and plans.
• Perform requested aspects of technical analysis and systems engineering support to facilitate aspects of architecture design, interoperability, specification analysis and development, solutions implementation and systems sustainment of supported projects.
• Develop test and evaluation documentation, including laboratory testing plans, new technology evaluation documents, usability engineering documents and laboratory testing of SW/MW test articles developed by the product design agent.
• Research and develop systems/subsystem specification documents, including compliance, completeness and consistency of component and interface requirements with current and evolving system requirements, information architectures, and systems.
• Support signal processing activities, to include waveform, clutter management and electronic protection development; designing electronic compatibility into systems; and supporting data collection and analysis to determine effectiveness of signal processing systems.

Qualifications

• Education/Professional Certifications: Must meet one or more of the following:
  • (a) A Bachelor’s degree from a school of engineering with at least one curriculum accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) as a professional engineering curriculum in one of the following fields: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineer, Electronics Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Physics.
  • (b) A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in one of the following fields of study: Mathematics, Computer Science, or Physics.
  • (c) A Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in one of the following fields of study: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineer, Electronics Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Physics.
  • (d) A Ph.D degree from an accredited college or university in one of the following fields of study: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineer, Electronics Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Physics.
• General Sensor Engineering Experience: Minimum ten (10) years if Candidate has a Bachelor’s degree. Minimum eight (8) years if Candidate has a Master’s degree. Minimum five (5) years if Candidate has a Ph.D degree.
• Specialized Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of experience in complex radar system engineering, design, analysis, or radar software development. Solid technical background as demonstrated by certifiable experience formulating opinions, decisions and ultimate performance of the tasks specified in a contract statement of work.

• Requires an active Secret Clearance.
