Responsibilities
- Serve as a radar engineer with emphasis on radar and Electronic Warfare (EW) sensor integration.
- Communicate with engineering functions including structures, crew systems, EMI, reliability and maintainability, manufacturing, and system safety.
- Perform analysis, requirement analyses, and system capacity analysis; investigate alternative solutions and architecture trade-offs; assess and document results.
- Aid in reviewing and/or developing draft systems engineering documents for milestone reviews and events.
- Attend regular team meetings, Technical Interface Management (TIM) sessions, technical reviews, and interface control working groups.
- Support hardware/software development and related system ground and flight test activities, such as hardware in-the-loop, subsystem integration labs, DT, and IOT&E.
- Support airworthiness directives and assist in platform approval and certification using MIL-HDBK-516 Airworthiness Certification Criteria.
- Provide technical advice and serve as the technical interface between government customers and radar manufacturers, interact with customers, participate in meetings, and produce technical detailed products.
- Perform technical activities involving radar waveforms, signal, and data processing techniques, ensuring robust performance in EMI, electronic counter-measures, multipath, ducting, and clutter environments.
- Assist in data processing including centroiding, tracker, timing issues, data loading, and interfaces to combat systems or automation systems.
- Assist in modeling/simulation of radar, targets, and clutter/weather; test and evaluate radar system performance by developing test plans and procedures, witnessing tests, and writing test reports for qualification, operational field, and factory system-level testing.
Requirements
- Clearance: Top Secret
- Education: Master's or Doctorate Degree from an ABET accredited college or university in a related field, with ten years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline; or Bachelor's Degree from an ABET accredited college or university in a related field, with 12 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline, with five years in the DoD.
