Description

MercyOne Waukee Urgent Care Clinic is opening and seeking a Rad Tech. Key responsibilities include:

• Demonstrate the ability to recognize and assess urgent/emergency needs of patients and initiating appropriate emergency procedures as needed
• Follow clinic procedure/protocol for the organization and management of the electronic medical record (i.e. test results, retrieval, filing, creation, repair, charging of electronic medical record)
• Apply specialized radiology skills under the direction of a clinic provider in the care and treatment of patients in a clinic setting
• Perform a variety of routine and skilled radiology tests, diagnostic tests, or procedures to patients of all ages

Hours

40 hours a week

Shifts

Typically 12 hours, along with every other weekend from 8a-4p

Requirements

• Maintain State of Iowa permit to practice Radiology
• Knowledge of Radiological theory and techniques, clinic policies and procedures and principles of anatomy
• Clinic/Physician office experience preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for the Healthcare Provider certified or obtained within three (3) months of hire
• Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training specific to population served within three (3) months of hire
