Rad Tech Student, Part Time

About the role

The Radiology Student has a responsibility to perform a variety of radiographic procedures. This position will function with under the supervision and/or direction of registered technologist and/or physician to produce superior quality radiographic images. The student will be scheduled to work with a Radiology Technologist to follow department protocols. The tasks outlined below are expected to be performed based on the department policy.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic examinations
• Transport patients
• Utilize sterile technique
• Operate equipment
• Ability to effectively deal with patients, families, hospital staff and physicians
• Excellent computer, interpersonal and communication skills
• Other duties assigned by lead technologists and/or directors

Schedule

Mon-Thurs, 4:00 PM - 9:00 PM

Requirements

• Must be entering second year of Radiology accredited School (required)
• BLS certified – certification obtained from American Heart Association or American Red Cross
