Rad Tech - Outpatient- OR (CRCH)- days

Full-time, Day shift · 101 Elm Ave, Roanoke · Sign-on bonus up to $30,000; relocation assistance up to $7,000. Primary location: CRCH OR with possible rotations to ION or Riverside 3 during low OR case volume.

About the role

The Radiologic Technologist Outpatient performs diagnostic imaging procedures in ambulatory and practice-based settings. This role utilizes specialized equipment and clinical judgment to produce high-quality images while supporting efficient patient flow and excellent customer service. The Radiologic Technologist Outpatient supports Carilion Clinic’s hallmarks of service excellence and quality in all job responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic imaging procedures using radiographic equipment in outpatient settings.
• Assesses patients before, during, and after procedures to ensure safe and appropriate care.
• Positions patients and operates imaging equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
• Utilizes PACS, RIS, and electronic medical record systems for documentation and workflow.
• Collaborates with physicians, clinical staff, and interdisciplinary teams to support patient care.
• Participates in training and orientation of students and staff.
• Maintains a safe environment and adheres to radiation safety standards.
• Manages workflow independently and prioritizes patient care needs in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintains confidentiality and complies with regulatory and organizational standards.

Requirements

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology required.
• Experience: None required.
• Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration: ARRT registry required; Virginia state license required for ambulatory settings.
• Life Support: AHA BLS-HCP required.
• Other Minimum Qualifications: Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills; ability to manage workflow and prioritize tasks in an outpatient environment.

Pay

Compensation range: $23.97 – $35.96 per hour. Employee pay is based on a variety of factors, including qualifications, credentials, education, and prior work experience. The compensation range does not include benefits or pension plan.
