Rad Tech Instructor

About the Role

As a RAD Faculty member at American Career College, you will guide nursing students to do more than change their own lives—you will help change the lives of every patient they treat throughout their career in healthcare. You will share your success story with the next generation of nurses as a key member of our student-centered, innovative community.

Responsibilities

• Deliver class and/or clinical instruction according to an approved course syllabus using accepted and effective teaching methods.
• Develop daily lesson plans; advise and tutor students; maintain current and accurate attendance and grade records.
• Remain current in the applicable program teaching field.
• Participate in faculty meetings, professional growth activities in the respective field, and two (2) in-service training sessions annually.
• Participate in college activities such as in-services, faculty meetings, student functions, graduation exercises, open houses, new student orientations, and advisory board meetings.
• Strive for student success by providing quality instruction that results in students’ achievement of course and program objectives, retention of students, and prepares students for entry-level positions in the healthcare field.

Requirements

• Minimum of three (3) years of occupational experience in the subject field or closely related field. Of those three (3) years, two (2) years must be full-time clinical experience in diagnostic radiography.
• Minimum of one (1) year of teaching experience in the subject areas taught or demonstrated prior training in instructional methodology and teaching skills from a formal teacher educational program, comparable training program, or formal in-house training program.

Qualifications

• Baccalaureate degree.
• Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Radiography.
• Current CRT permit (State of California certification).
• Current CPR Card.
