Schedule
Full Time
10-Hour Days: Monday–Thursday (12:30 PM–9:00 PM) and Friday (10:30 AM–7:00 PM)
Various shifts available for 8, 10, or 12 hours with enhanced shift differential pay.
Pay
$10,000 sign-on bonus for qualified applicants. Competitive wages and incentives.

Responsibilities
- Performs high-quality radiology procedures according to exam protocol in a timely manner
- Maintains production and quality of imaging procedures by following established standards and procedures
- Utilizes AIDET (Acknowledge, Introduce, Duration, Explanation, Thank) when communicating with patients to identify service requirements, ensure correct exams, and establish rapport
- Instructs and communicates with patients and their families regarding procedures and assesses patient’s ability to tolerate exams
- Prepares patients and procedure areas by positioning patients, adjusting immobilization devices, and setting exposure factors
- Protects patients and employees by adhering to safety, infection-control, drug, and radiation policies, protocols, and techniques
- Uses proper sterile techniques for invasive multimodality procedures and maintains hand hygiene requirements
- Maintains equipment and work areas to meet quality and cleanliness standards
- Works with engineers and physicists to ensure optimal operational capabilities of equipment
- Reports issues to management or appropriate departments
- Assists in maintaining supplies inventory
- Screens individuals entering the department according to approved policies and procedures
- Obtains, verifies, and maintains relevant documentation (e.g., requisition/chart, patient history, pregnancy status, consent forms)
- Maintains medical imaging records in appropriate systems and according to department policies
- Demonstrates current knowledge and skills appropriate for newborn, pediatric, young adult, adult, and geriatric care
- Serves as a preceptor by providing quality training to new team members and on new services and initiatives
- Able to take call, if required
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program
- Less than 1 year of experience
- ARRT-R (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists – Radiography) certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
- Licensed by the State of Texas Medical Board as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT)
