Essential Job Functions

• Affords support to the radiologic technologist during the imaging process.
• Completes basic patient assessments, such as verifying patient orders, completing patient questionnaires, and patient preparation and instruction.

Responsibilities

• Assists technologists with tasks like minimum registration of Computerized Health Information (CHL) and the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS).
• Ensures forms are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
• Manages and directs incoming phone calls to maintain efficient communication and organization within the department.
• Assists in making call reminders for scheduled exams to enhance patient preparedness and departmental efficiency.
• Enhances operational efficiency by cleaning and restocking procedure rooms to create a well-prepared environment for efficient patient care.
• Welcomes and assists patients, their families, and visitors entering the radiology department.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Licensure/Certification/Listing: Required: BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
