About the role

The Radiology Technologist will perform x-ray procedures including fluoroscopic procedures under the direction of a physician with established methods and procedures. They are responsible for patient care, proper operation of all general diagnostic equipment, and reporting to the Diagnostic Radiology Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Perform x-ray procedures and fluoroscopic procedures under the direction of a physician.
  • Operate hospital computer system for patient data entry and retrieval.
  • Prepare, administer, and document contrast media according to departmental protocols.
  • Screen patients for contraindications that may be hazardous to their health or to the safety of others.
  • Ensure proper function of equipment by proper usage and maintenance.
  • Report on unsafe conditions and incidents.
  • Aid in the training of new associates and students.
  • Work a flexible schedule and provide accurate preparation instructions to patients/caregivers.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited ARRT program.
  • Completion of clinical hours in an accredited ARRT program.
  • ARRT registration within 90 days of hire.
  • State License eligible for Radiology Technologist license within 90 days of hire.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association upon hire.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Diagnostic Imaging protocols, radiation safety, and a working knowledge of all radiology equipment.
  • Ability to work well with others, act as a team member, and engage in critical thinking to improve the quality of care.

Skills

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.
