About the role
The Radiology Technologist will perform x-ray procedures including fluoroscopic procedures under the direction of a physician with established methods and procedures. They are responsible for patient care, proper operation of all general diagnostic equipment, and reporting to the Diagnostic Radiology Manager.
Responsibilities
- Perform x-ray procedures and fluoroscopic procedures under the direction of a physician.
- Operate hospital computer system for patient data entry and retrieval.
- Prepare, administer, and document contrast media according to departmental protocols.
- Screen patients for contraindications that may be hazardous to their health or to the safety of others.
- Ensure proper function of equipment by proper usage and maintenance.
- Report on unsafe conditions and incidents.
- Aid in the training of new associates and students.
- Work a flexible schedule and provide accurate preparation instructions to patients/caregivers.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited ARRT program.
- Completion of clinical hours in an accredited ARRT program.
- ARRT registration within 90 days of hire.
- State License eligible for Radiology Technologist license within 90 days of hire.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association upon hire.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of Diagnostic Imaging protocols, radiation safety, and a working knowledge of all radiology equipment.
- Ability to work well with others, act as a team member, and engage in critical thinking to improve the quality of care.
Skills
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.
