R&T Manufacturing Technician

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to Albany’s values and prioritize safety.
  • Perform manufacturing operations, including setting up equipment and executing start-up activities.
  • Communicate effectively between engineering and manufacturing.
  • Accurately complete documentation related to development processes.
  • Perform timely and accurate transactions in the ERP system.
  • Assist in process capability studies, equipment installation qualifications, and process validation.
  • Participate in R&T teams and audits, such as the Safety Team or Job Hazard Analysis.
  • Utilize RCCA tools.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures, including safety regulations and good manufacturing practices.
  • Upkeep development areas and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
  • Review and provide feedback on documentation, procedures, and inspections.

Qualifications/Characteristics

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment (aerospace or composites preferred).
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in weaving or injection processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering instructions.
  • Physical demands include stooping, crouching, walking, pulling, light lifting (up to 25 pounds), grasping, hearing, visual acuity, kneeling, reaching, pushing, talking, standing, fingering, and climbing.
  • Ability to work 24/7 schedule and be available as needed, including overtime.
  • Skills include frequent repetitive hand movements, use of hand tools, and frequent movement of molds and parts weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Must be able to detect and recognize visual differences between materials or parts.
