Responsibilities
- Adhere to Albany’s values and prioritize safety.
- Perform manufacturing operations, including setting up equipment and executing start-up activities.
- Communicate effectively between engineering and manufacturing.
- Accurately complete documentation related to development processes.
- Perform timely and accurate transactions in the ERP system.
- Assist in process capability studies, equipment installation qualifications, and process validation.
- Participate in R&T teams and audits, such as the Safety Team or Job Hazard Analysis.
- Utilize RCCA tools.
- Comply with company policies and procedures, including safety regulations and good manufacturing practices.
- Upkeep development areas and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
- Review and provide feedback on documentation, procedures, and inspections.
Qualifications/Characteristics
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment (aerospace or composites preferred).
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in weaving or injection processes.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering instructions.
- Physical demands include stooping, crouching, walking, pulling, light lifting (up to 25 pounds), grasping, hearing, visual acuity, kneeling, reaching, pushing, talking, standing, fingering, and climbing.
- Ability to work 24/7 schedule and be available as needed, including overtime.
- Skills include frequent repetitive hand movements, use of hand tools, and frequent movement of molds and parts weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Must be able to detect and recognize visual differences between materials or parts.
