R.O. Snow Equipment Mechanic

About the role

We are seeking a skilled R.O. Snow Equipment Mechanic to maintain and repair various types of snow removal equipment, ensuring optimal performance during winter operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and experience working with snow equipment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical issues with snow removal equipment and perform necessary repairs.
• Conduct routine maintenance on snow plows, snow blowers, and other related equipment.
• Inspect equipment to identify worn or damaged parts and replace them as needed.
• Test equipment after repairs to ensure proper functionality.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a mechanic, preferably working with snow removal equipment.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and components.
• Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Certification from a technical school or equivalent work experience is a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift heavy equipment and parts.
• Stamina to work in various weather conditions.
