About the role
Seeking a hands-on R&D Test Engineer to perform bench, laboratory, assay, and product testing activities. The role focuses on executing established test methods, collecting and analyzing data, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining accurate testing documentation.
Responsibilities
- Perform hands-on bench and laboratory testing for R&D/product development.
- Execute established test methods, protocols, and experimental procedures.
- Conduct basic assays and wet-chemistry testing.
- Prepare samples, solutions, reagents, dilutions, and testing materials.
- Operate and maintain laboratory/test equipment.
- Collect, analyze, and accurately document test data and results.
- Troubleshoot test setups and experimental issues.
- Maintain laboratory notebooks and testing documentation.
- Support test reports and technical documentation.
- Collaborate with R&D and cross-functional teams.
- Follow project timelines, quality requirements, laboratory procedures, and safety practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Life Sciences, or a related technical field.
- 2–5 years of hands-on laboratory, R&D, or product testing experience preferred.
- Experience with bench testing and established test protocols.
- Exposure to assays, wet chemistry, or chemistry-based testing.
- Experience with pipetting, weighing, sample preparation, solution preparation, and dilution.
- Comfortable using general laboratory instrumentation and test equipment.
- Strong data collection, documentation, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently in a laboratory environment.
- Experience in medical device, diagnostics, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or other regulated industries preferred.
