R&D Test Engineer

Responsibilities

• Analyze product features and design test parameters.
• Create and implement quality-check procedures for Saft's products.
• Write up final test procedures.
• Plan testing with lab staff to maximize available chambers and resources.
• Develop and analyze data, creating data analysis programs and graphics.
• Interpret test results and report findings professionally.
• Handle and troubleshoot test equipment issues.
• Generate and support the development of test harnesses, test boxes, and automation techniques.
• Recommend new testing methodologies or improve test results.
• Support the Department Manager by managing test setups, scheduling testing, and maintaining accurate records.
• Perform cycle life, storage life, aging characterization, impedance mapping, cold and hot performance testing.
• Conduct abuse testing, including UN testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or Software).
• Minimum of 0-2 years of experience in test engineering or related field.
• Experience with programming, electrical assembly, troubleshooting electrical equipment, and project planning.
• Familiarity with battery testing concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Extensive knowledge of engineering and testing procedures.
• Good critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage projects and present data effectively.
• High-level technical writing skills.
