What You'll Do
- Support Food Scientists with research and development projects by preparing product samples, conducting experiments, and collecting data.
- Assemble food products in a laboratory setting following established formulas, scientific methods, and product development guidelines.
- Perform analytical testing, record observations, and document results using laboratory notebooks and electronic systems.
- Evaluate new and existing ingredients to understand functionality, handling, and suitability for product development.
- Prepare finished product samples for internal evaluations, customer requests, sales, and marketing activities.
- Maintain laboratory equipment, work areas, and supplies while following food safety and quality standards.
What You'll Bring
- A high school diploma or GED.
- An associate degree in Food Science, Culinary Science, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in research and development, food manufacturing, laboratory work, or a related scientific environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of food preparation, ingredient functionality, or food processing; experience with emulsified products is a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word; experience with ERP systems is helpful.
- A strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately document testing results and follow technical procedures.
