What You'll Do

  • Support Food Scientists with research and development projects by preparing product samples, conducting experiments, and collecting data.
  • Assemble food products in a laboratory setting following established formulas, scientific methods, and product development guidelines.
  • Perform analytical testing, record observations, and document results using laboratory notebooks and electronic systems.
  • Evaluate new and existing ingredients to understand functionality, handling, and suitability for product development.
  • Prepare finished product samples for internal evaluations, customer requests, sales, and marketing activities.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment, work areas, and supplies while following food safety and quality standards.

What You'll Bring

  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • An associate degree in Food Science, Culinary Science, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience in research and development, food manufacturing, laboratory work, or a related scientific environment is preferred.
  • Knowledge of food preparation, ingredient functionality, or food processing; experience with emulsified products is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word; experience with ERP systems is helpful.
  • A strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately document testing results and follow technical procedures.
