R&D Strategy & Operations Manager
About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated R&D Strategy & Operations Manager to join the Office of the CTO at Ceribell. This role is ideal for a versatile problem-solver with technical literacy, analytical rigor, and project management skills to drive execution of key R&D initiatives. You will partner closely with the Chief of Staff and CTO to ensure smooth operations, effective cross-functional collaboration, and clear communication of priorities.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a technical background (electrical or mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering, or related) eager to expand into a high-impact operations leadership role within a fast-growing MedTech company.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Analysis & Reporting
- Conduct analyses to support technology and operational decision-making (product and R&D road mapping, capacity planning, process improvement, insight generation).
- Prepare presentations, reports, and briefs for the CTO and leadership team.
- Project & Program Management
- Drive execution of priority R&D and technology initiatives, coordinating across Product Development, Engineering, Data Science, Operations, Regulatory, Quality, and GTM teams.
- Own trackers, dashboards, and status updates to ensure projects remain on schedule.
- Identify risks, dependencies, and escalate as appropriate.
- Special Projects
- Lead or support ad hoc projects and strategic initiatives in R&D, technology, operations, business systems, and external relations.
- Conduct research and benchmarking to inform decision-making.
Requirements
- PhD required in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Neuroscience, Biomedical Engineering, or related technical field.
- Experience with medical devices is highly preferred.
- Preferred experience with strategic consulting or business strategy and operations with exposure to MedTech product management.
- Strong project management and organizational abilities.
- Ability to independently conduct product research, including literature review, customer interviews, competitive analysis, and opportunity assessment.
- Ability to bring structure to complex and ambiguous questions, as well as creating and executing frameworks that drive effective solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Ability to travel up to 10%.

Pay
Compensation Range: $150,000—$200,000 USD. A candidate’s final salary offer will be based on their skills, education, work location, and experience, and may differ from the posted range. Compensation may also include bonuses consistent with Ceribell’s corporate compensation plan.
