R&D Sr. Scientist, Pipeline
Castle Biosciences Inc. is growing, and we are looking to hire a full-time R&D Sr. Scientist working from our Friendswood, TX headquarters with a start date of July 15, 2026.
About the role
The Senior Scientist, Pipeline, will engage with colleagues in R&D to evaluate, develop, and validate clinical devices and molecular biomarkers that improve disease diagnosis, prognosis, and/or prediction of response to therapy. You will evaluate opportunities for new clinical devices and tests, collaborate with cross-functional colleagues to create business cases and project plans, and support Castle's Clinical Research team through the organization, auditing, and interpretation of clinical research and technical data. Additionally, you will work with teams across Castle Biosciences to produce critical scientific messaging materials, including peer-reviewed publications, abstracts, supportive slide decks, payer reimbursement documents, patient reports, and commercial literature to train internal personnel and educate external customers (physicians) and patients.
Requirements
- Master's or PhD in life sciences or a bachelor's degree with a minimum of 3 years of postgraduate medical writing experience in life sciences or industry equivalent in the biotech sector.
- PhD level training in life sciences or biomedical engineering.
- The ability to successfully communicate and teach in a complex and competitive environment.

Schedule
- Monday - Friday, in-office 5 days a week from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, exempt position.
- Location: Friendswood, TX headquarters (preferred). May consider Pittsburgh, PA @ Nova Place office.
