Duties & Responsibilities
- Gather the outflow boundary condition properties of CFDWARP and write a data file that can be read by FLUENT.
- Implement an algorithm in FLUENT to read the data file from CFDWARP and copy data on its inflow boundary.
- Develop a chemical solver for Argon plasmas.
- Set-up the domain and boundary conditions as described by Boeuf and Pitchford.
- Compare CFDWARP results to experimental results by Boeuf and Pitchford.
- Verify validity of every reaction rate within CFDWARP.
- Review the code to isolate areas that are not efficient and recommend solutions to the existing algorithms within CFDWARP without changing their function.
- Use Linex workstations and 640 core cluster to run our CFDWARP code to obtain data.
- Analyze the data using the post processing software TECPLOT.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering
- One year of relevant work or experience
