About the role

IPG is seeking talented individuals to join our Research & Development department. Located in Marysville, Michigan, we investigate new technologies, product designs, develop new products, improve existing products, and reverse engineer competitor products. We provide abundant pilot manufacturing, testing capabilities, analytical instruments, and computer resources.

Responsibilities

• Investigate new technologies and product designs
• Develop new products and improve existing ones
• Reverse engineer competitor products
• Conduct various tests in the lab
• Collect and input data in lab notebooks and computers
• Work on special projects under the guidance of an IPG R&D Chemist

Requirements

• Strong academic background in relevant fields such as chemistry, math, business, medicine, teaching, etc.
• Interest in research and development
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Basic understanding of chemical engineering principles

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• Experience in laboratory settings preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
