R&D Associate
Location: Montvale, NJ (Hybrid: 4 days onsite per week)
Contract: 6 Months (extension possible)
Pay Range: $35 - $50 hourly
About the role
Lead end-to-end development of non-woven and wet wipes products, from concept through commercialization, including substrate and formulation innovation. Drive cross-functional projects by partnering with R&D, Marketing, Operations, Quality, Regulatory, and Supply Chain teams to deliver successful product launches. Manage multiple development programs, ensuring timelines, technical milestones, and business objectives are achieved. Apply knowledge of disinfecting and surface-care technologies, including regulatory considerations (EPA/BPD), product performance validation, and consumer needs. Provide technical leadership through strong problem-solving, communication, and project management skills, with experience developing cleaning and surface-care products in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- BS/BA degree in a related science and 3-5 years’ experience, or MS degree in a related science and minimum 3 years’ experience.
- Experience and/or proven track record of successful delivery of technical projects in a FMCG company.
- Strong understanding of the product development process from concept ideation to launch.
- Proven Project Management skills including timeline management and coordination of key stakeholders.
- Strong formulation knowledge and understanding of chemical interactions.
- Wet wipes formulation experience – desired not required.
