R&D Assembler II - 1st Shift

About the role

This position is primarily responsible for operating workstations and associated systems used in the manufacturing of products sold to our customers. You will work with lower-level Operators and higher-level Technicians to meet or exceed expectations for product quality and production rates. The role requires a basic knowledge of setting up and operating workstations, performing visual and dimensional inspections, and adhering to established documentation for product manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all Good Manufacturing Practices (CGMP) requirements to ensure products are consistently produced and controlled according to the Quality System.
• Follow established documentation for product manufacturing.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas, machines, tools, and equipment.
• Take direction within the manufacturing cell from upper-level operators assigned to that cell.
• Load components into product-specific tools and perform processing and product fabrication.
• Perform in-process visual inspections with and without the use of microscopes in accordance with Process Control Documents, drawings, or work instructions.
• Perform pre/post-weld operations such as assembly and part cleaning.
• Set up workstations for qualified operations and perform basic troubleshooting tasks.
• Perform dimensional inspections using gauges, inspection systems, verniers, and micrometers.
• May perform weld operations.
• Work with small devices to load fixtures and process equipment.
• Make basic measurements and math calculations relative to tolerances and dimensions.
• Interpret drawings, nomenclature, and dimensions.
• Provide direction within the manufacturing cell to associates assigned to assist them.
• Assist Quality Control with inspection duties as required.
• Recognize quality issues and communicate them to Quality and/or Supervisor.
• Accurately document all work performed on inspection reports and customer travelers.
• Assist in packaging finished goods as needed.
• Maintain reliable, consistent, and punctual attendance.
• Comply with company, quality, and safety standards, policies, and procedures.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED (preferred).
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in medical device manufacturing.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend English.

Schedule

Monday - Thursday, 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Pay

Hourly pay range: $20 - $22, based on experience and qualifications.
