Quotations Specialist

About the Role

We are looking for a Quotations Specialist to join our Rexel, USA team in Carrollton, TX! The Quotations Specialist is responsible for establishing relationships with customers and vendors to secure pricing positions for bids. This role involves reviewing bid packages, formulating project quotations, and providing product knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Quote low to moderate profile/complex projects
• Review bid package and all requirements, including technical, approved manufacturers list, commercial, and documentation
• Work closely with Outside Sales or branches to discuss strategy and approach for each proposal request
• Format customer requests into standardized spreadsheets for bid review
• Break down bid packages and issue Request for Quotation (RFQ) to vendors
• Receive pricing and compile bid tabulations for review
• Prepare and submit final proposals with required documentation
• Negotiate pricing with suppliers and offer substitute products when appropriate
• Participate in product meetings, seminars, and training to enhance product knowledge
• Meet with the team to discuss vendor strategy and margin levels
• Establish and maintain relationships with customers and suppliers
• Utilize company digital tools to sell, promote, or demonstrate product knowledge to new and existing customers
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• 2+ years of customer service, project management, or related experience preferred
• Experience with electrical distribution, lighting, and controls, or adjacent industry preferred
• High School or GED - Required

• Proficiency in Excel, Outlook, Word, PDF editors (Blue Beam or Adobe), and quoting tools
