OC Financial Services Inc., an established tax preparation and bookkeeping firm in Fullerton, is seeking a dependable part-time QuickBooks Bookkeeping Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Enter and categorize financial transactions in QuickBooks Online
• Reconcile bank and credit-card accounts
• Review transactions for missing or incorrect information
• Assist with bookkeeping cleanup and catch-up projects
• Organize client financial records and supporting documents
• Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and expense tracking
• Prepare basic profit-and-loss and balance-sheet reports
• Support 1099 preparation and other bookkeeping projects
• Communicate professionally with clients regarding missing information
• Protect confidential client and financial information
• Handle bank reconciliations and bookkeeping cleanup
• Communicate with English- and Spanish-speaking clients regarding bookkeeping records, missing documents, appointments, and routine account questions

Requirements

• At least one year of practical QuickBooks Online or bookkeeping experience
• Understanding of bank reconciliations and transaction categorization
• Comfortable using Microsoft Excel, email, and cloud-based systems
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
• Dependable attendance and professional communication
• Ability to handle confidential tax and financial information responsibly

Qualifications

• QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor certification (preferred)
• Experience working in a tax, bookkeeping, or accounting office (preferred)
• Experience with bookkeeping cleanup and catch-up projects (preferred)
• Spanish-English bilingual ability (preferred)

Pay

$22.00 - $25.00 per hour, based on relevant experience

Schedule

• Part-time, approximately 25 hours per week
• Must be available Monday-Thursday mornings or afternoons to early evenings (flexible)
• Additional hours may be available during tax season
