Job Description

The Quick Service Restaurants (QSR) Assistant General Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of QSR at a single Eataly location. This role reports directly to the QSR General Manager and supervises a team of service leads, baristas, sales associates, and stockers. The position collaborates closely with the QSR General Manager on all aspects of management.

• Maintains budget efficiency and ensures expenditures stay within budget limitations
• Ensures guest experience standards are consistently met
• Makes schedules and submits payroll for staff with approval from the QSR General Manager
• Hires, assigns, trains, motivates, evaluates, and terminates employees as necessary
• Documents, investigates, and resolves employee and guest incidents
• Estimates food and beverage needs, requisitions or purchases supplies, and reviews orders to ensure compliance with specifications
• Supervises cleaning and maintenance of equipment and counters according to Department of Health standards, and arranges repairs, contracts, and other services when needed
• Sends daily shift notes to the QSR General Manager
• Performs other duties as required or assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 2+ years of management experience in counter-service or retail environment
• Exceptional communication, leadership, motivational, and teambuilding skills
• Demonstrated problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office and common retail POS systems (e.g., Micros)
• Experience and knowledge in coffee, coffee production, and manual espresso machines

Job Requirements

• Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule often including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending, and squatting
• Ability to operate equipment such as manual espresso machine, drink blender, juicer, and cash register
