Quick Lube Technician

About the role

We are looking for a Quick Lube Technician to join our growing team. The right candidate will have a strong background in automotive and ASE certification or a technical degree. Day-to-day duties include testing systems to ensure they are working properly, driving vehicles for test purposes, and accurately diagnosing and repairing vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Test systems and components to ensure they are secure and working properly
• Isolate the systems or components that might have caused the problem
• Drive the vehicle for testing purposes
• Inspect and refill fluid levels as necessary
• Ensure tire pressure is properly inflated
• Clean and lubricate fittings as needed
• Install a new oil drain plug and new oil filter
• Communicate oil levels to teammates
• Maintain efficiency and accuracy in diagnosing and repairing vehicles
• Repair or replace worn parts ahead of the vehicle’s breakdown or damage
• Use power tools, machine tools, and common hand tools to perform various tasks

Requirements

• Deep understanding of automobiles and speedy diagnostic abilities
• Effective analytical and communication skills
• Eagerness to improve and ability to learn new technology, repair, and service procedures and specifications
• Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
• High School Diploma or GED (required)
• ASE Certification or Technical degree (preferred)
• One year of experience in a service department
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
