Quick Lane Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle maintenance such as oil changes and tire rotations on all vehicles.
• Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
• Diagnose and maintain vehicle automotive systems including electrical systems, steering, suspension, brakes, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor to inform customers if additional service is needed.
• Execute repairs written under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
• Manage repair orders to ensure service completion by promised times.
• Fix vehicles right the first time.
• Maintain a professional work station including the tool box, vehicle lift, and general work area.
• Work closely with the Parts and Service departments.
• Ensure quality work and that repairs will be satisfactory to the customer.
• Provide own tools.
• Be dependable.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical aptitude preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience required.
• Strong automotive background.
• Strong teamwork skills.
• Willing to submit to a drug screen and background check.
• Must have a clean and valid driver’s license.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Positive customer attitude and effective communication skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Willingness to work a required schedule.
