Quick Lane Lube and Tire Technician
Coughlin Ford of Circleville is seeking career-minded Lube and Tire Technicians for our Quick Lane Service.
Responsibilities
- Lubricate all moving engine parts of vehicles by applying specific lubricants.
- Clean engine parts to remove grime and buildup, then apply lubricant to restore them to good working order.
- Perform vehicle inspections, including examining and testing multiple points of interest, checking for oil leaks, and verifying all fluid levels (e.g., windshield washer fluid).
- Inspect tires and test air pressure.
- Drain existing oil from vehicles and replace it with new oil, ensuring the proper type is used.
- Replace filters, including air filters and oil filters.
- Check electrical components on vehicles, such as testing the horn and lights.
- Make recommendations for further vehicle service based on inspections.
- Follow all company and safety procedures, including working in well-ventilated areas and ensuring vehicles are in the correct gear before ignition.
Requirements
- Valid Driver’s License with a quality driving record.
- Automobile repair experience.
- Knowledge of methods, materials, and tools used in vehicle repair and maintenance.
- Basic computer skills to utilize the timekeeping system and learn parts department inventory/ordering systems.
- Ability to understand and follow instructions and communicate effectively with customers and company personnel.
- Regular and predictable in-person attendance at an automotive dealership.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, use hands, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; perform duties around vehicles in various positions; and safely operate power tools and test equipment.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos, and present information effectively in one-on-one or small group settings.
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
- Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions and follow technical manuals.

Pay
Competitive wage dependent on experience.
Schedule
- 5 days per week, including rotating Saturdays and occasional holidays.
- Service departments are closed on Sundays and open until 6 p.m. during the week.
