Responsibilities
- Prepare and conduct all assigned class meetings.
- Develop and administer course assignments, examinations, and assessments.
- Evaluate and grade student work in a timely manner.
- Hold office hours and be available for student consultation outside of class.
- Submit final grades by university deadlines.
- Complete departmental and accreditation-related assessment activities as required.
Requirements
- Ph.D. Degree in Mathematics or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching, specifically in Statistics.
Qualifications
- Appointments are made on a quarterly basis.
- The first day of instruction for the 2026–2027 academic year is: Fall 2026 – Monday, September 21, 2026, Winter 2027 – Monday, January 4, 2027, Spring 2027 – Monday, March 29, 2027, Summer 2027 – Monday, June 21, 2027.
Skills
- Ability to teach a variety of courses in Electrical and Computer Engineering.
Benefits
- Undergraduate Courses: 4-unit lecture = 1.0 CE, 1-unit lab = 0.25 CE, 1-unit lab without a teaching assistant = 0.5 CE.
- Graduate Courses: 4-unit lecture = 1.0 CE, 2-unit lecture = 0.66 CE.
Pay
- $10,948.00 per Course Equivalent (CE).
Schedule
- Courses are typically held at various times during the week, including 7:10AM - 9:00AM, 5:10PM - 7:00PM, 7:10PM - 9:00PM time slots.
