Quarry Manager (Carson, VA)

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily aggregate production including drilling, blasting coordination, crushing, screening, stockpiling, and material handling
• Ensure production targets are met while maintaining product quality and operational efficiency
• Cookordination production schedules with plant operations, maintenance teams, and contractors
• Promote and enforce a strong safety-first culture
• Conduct safety meetings, inspections, and reinforce safe operating practices
• Lead and supervise plant and equipment operators
• Train and mentor team members to strengthen operational skills and safety awareness
• Aid in performance management and address employee concerns when necessary
• Monitor production output, equipment utilization, and operational metrics
• Aid in developing operational plans that improve productivity and reliability
• Ensure aggregate inventory levels align with production goals and sales demand
• Coordinate equipment maintenance and ensure proper upkeep of plant systems

Requirements

• Experience in quarry, mining, or heavy materials operations
• Hands-on operations leadership experience
• Strong understanding of aggregate production processes
• Ability to lead and mentor team members
• Compliance with MSHA regulations and company safety programs
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
