Quantity Surveyor Role
This role offers the opportunity to work on major, long-term framework projects with excellent career development and stability.
Quantity Surveyor Responsibilities
- Preparation and management of applications for payment, valuations and cost value reconciliation
- Provide accurate cost control, forecasting and reporting including value, cost, profit/loss and cash flow
- Prepare, submit and contribute to monthly commercial reports
- Manage and develop supply chain relationships, including subcontract procurement and ongoing administration
- Prepare subcontract enquiries, negotiate terms and place subcontract agreements
- Aid with risk and value management processes to optimise project solutions
- Mentor project teams and support regular commercial reviews
- Administer contracts in line with relevant contractual forms, budgetary controls and commercial systems
- Ensure all contractual notifications, records and documentation are maintained and kept up to date
- Provide contractual and commercial advice to site teams as required
- Maintain ongoing liaison with site teams, subcontractors and client representatives
- Ensure any safety risk situations are promptly escalated to site management
Quantity Surveyor Requirements
- Essential: Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
- MRICS / ARICS accreditation or actively working towards APC
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor with a main contractor
- Strong commercial awareness and proactive approach to cost management
- Effective communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across project teams
- Desirable: Experience working within the water sector
- Knowledge and experience of NEC and/or IChemE contracts
