Quantitative Trader – Overnight Session / Asia Trading, ETF Team

GTS’s ETF trading group is looking for a Quantitative Trader to focus on overnight and Asian trading strategies. The role offers the opportunity to design, build, and manage profitable trading strategies as part of a multi-disciplinary team, with direct impact on revenue and scale. Successful candidates will work closely with senior traders, gaining deep insight into trading desk operations and strategy evaluation. The ideal candidate will quickly take a central decision-making role in overnight trading strategies.

About the role

• Approximate work hours: 7pm ET to 5am ET, including some US holidays when international markets are open.
• Initial training (minimum 1 month) at GTS headquarters in NYC, with accommodation and living expenses covered for candidates outside New York.
• Primarily remote after training, with occasional in-office visits as needed.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior traders on multiple quantitative trading strategies.
• Design, build, and manage profitable trading strategies with direct revenue impact.
• Develop a deep understanding of trading desk operations and strategy evaluation.
• Take initiative in problem-solving and decision-making within a competitive environment.

Requirements

• B.S./M.S. from a leading university in a quantitative discipline (math, physics, statistics, computer science, or engineering) with a GPA over 3.6/4.0.
• Deep understanding of mathematics and statistics.
• Strong programming skills in Python.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain complex concepts simply.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated interest in strategic and competitive games.
• Willingness and ability to work Asian market hours (7pm ET to 5am ET).

Pay

Base salary range: $150,000 to $225,000 (excludes other forms of compensation or benefits).
