The Commodities Quantitative Research and PM Engagement team works with portfolio managers with specific focus on portfolio risk and optimization, deliver analytics, and provide actionable insights and best practices that drive business growth and enhance profitability.

About the role

The Commodities Quantitative Analyst works alongside investment teams to develop quantitative models and analytical tools for portfolio risk analysis and portfolio construction. This role is key to enhance profitability and scalability across the Commodities business.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance quantitative framework and models for portfolio risk and portfolio optimization.
• Conduct quantitative analysis and share insights with portfolio managers and business management.
• Partner with investment teams to assess fundamentals, evaluate trade risk, and support investment decisions.
• Contribute to best practices in risk analysis, portfolio construction, and quantitative research across the Commodities platform.

Qualifications

• Fresh graduates or candidates with 1-2 years of experience.
• Undergraduate or graduate degree in a quantitative field, such as math, statistics, engineering, physics, financial engineering, or a related field.
• Experience as a quantitative analyst, strategist or risk quant in a commodity trading firm, bank, or hedge fund.
• Strong foundation in statistics, time series analysis, and quantitative modeling.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Python.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively.
