Quality Technician - NIGHT SHIFT

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Interact with production departments and support quality department & customer standards & tolerances
• Perform daily visual inspections of work in process
• Audits of products & processes; Report Audit data results
• Prepare QC Samples: Cutting and Skiving buns to select the layer under the skin and center layer
• Cutting sample shapes for physical and mechanical property testing
• Data entry using Excel spreadsheet/Priority ERP database
• Data reporting Visual QC inspections of finished products prior to shipping
• Create documentation or quality procedures
• In some cases, manage processes that were documented
• Conduct Training of other Hourly employees on Quality-related topics
• Conduct testing & evaluations to assure training efficiency
• Gauge Calibration and Control
• Quarantining Non-Conforming product
• Must have 20/20 vision (with correction if necessary) & no color blindness or inability to judge color hues. Lab testing
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Strong computer and analytical skills absolutely required
• Proficient in Windows & Microsoft software
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
• Previous experience working within a Quality Department
• Ability to create & organize data base and good file management
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Trouble shoot & high sense of urgency
• Self-motivated, excellent time management, dependable, and reliable
• Exceptional attitude with assigned tasks and completion of time lines
• Ability to work in high heat and humidity
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
