Quality Technician I - 3rd Shift - Gratz, PA

About the role

Position: Quality Technician - 3rd Shift. Department: Quality, located at the Gratz Manufacturing Plant. Reports to the Dept. Supervisor. Full‑time, non‑exempt role. The purpose of this job is to assure thorough testing, measuring, and inspection of materials, ensuring finished product variation is minimized and quality is built into the product.

Responsibilities

• Conduct random daily work‑in‑progress inspections of units being produced.
• Perform daily specified AAMA inspections on finished products and record results.
• Read a tape measure and use a caliper to check product tolerances.
• Conduct daily work‑in‑progress audits on glass panels and vinyl and record results.
• Inspect work‑in‑process and finished units to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Understand quality process sheets and responsibilities; use a tablet for recording information.
• Provide or actively participate in continued process improvements.
• Complete daily weld break testing and record results.
• Complete daily argon fill rate testing and record results.
• Conduct daily sill leak testing on random units and record results.
• Obey all company policies and procedures, comply with safety procedures, and wear appropriate PPE.
• Work well in group environments and maintain a fast pace with attention to detail and accuracy.

Requirements

• High school graduate or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
• 1‑2 years of experience in a warehouse environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to maintain a fast pace with attention to detail and accuracy in repetitive work.
• Good math skills and ability to read a tape measure.
• Excellent teamwork skills; ability to develop constructive and cooperative working relationships.

Pay

$21.00 base pay plus a $1.50 shift differential.

Schedule

Sunday–Thursday, 9:00 PM to 5:30 AM (40+ hours per week).
