About the role

Electrical Thermal Solutions (ETS), part of Spirax Group, creates electrical process heating and temperature management solutions, including industrial heaters and systems, heat tracing, and a range of component technologies. Chromalox, Durex Industries, Vulcanic, and Thermocoax businesses are part of ETS.

Responsibilities

  • Manages document control, update and revise as necessary
  • Collections and maintain files of the latest revision level documentation necessary to define product configuration and control manufacturing processes and training
  • Maintains computer database for filed documentation and training
  • Timely distribution of latest revision level documentation to all appropriate users and ensure that obsolete documentation is removed from distribution
  • Ensures conformance to customer requirements and company standards
  • Aids Managers with documents, processes and procedures; prepares and submits documents on time
  • Composes technical manuals, instructions, procedures and documents
  • Works individually and as a team to develop and implement quality and efficiency improvements
  • Professional level of confidentiality in handling employee information
  • May analyze operating practices, forms and standards to create or revise established procedures
  • Establishing and maintaining interpersonal relationships; training and teaching others
  • Maintenance of a clean and orderly work area free of excess materials
  • Support of and involvement in company, department, and/or safety policies, procedures, programs and activities
  • May be required to cross train and demonstrate competency in all essential job functions of the department working at different workstations as production needs require
  • Establishing and maintaining interpersonal relationships; training and teaching others
  • Maintenance of a clean and orderly work area free of excess materials
  • Support and involvement in company, department, and/or safety policies, procedures, programs, and activities

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school
  • Six months to one year related experience and/or training
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience with training concepts, quality techniques and lean manufacturing or six sigma principles
  • Knowledge of a variety of computer software applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation software
  • Demonstrated ability in creating and supporting a strong, progressive team and an ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, proportions and decimals
  • Ability and understanding of various measuring devices in meeting drawing dimensions and specifications
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, work orders, work instructions, diagrams, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Good verbal and written communication skills are necessary
  • Work requires continual attention to detail in follow through, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines
