Quality Technician

The Quality Technician position is available at ProAmpac's Cincinnati, OH facility. ProAmpac is a leading global flexible packaging company with a focus on safety, innovation, and growth.

Responsibilities

• In-process inspection and testing quality verification
• Ensure all QA test equipment is calibrated and functioning properly
• Document, sample, and quarantine non-conforming material
• Follow all safety rules and regulations; wear PPE
• Perform film inspection for consumer packaging products and prepare COA data sheet for QA manager to review
• Perform film inspection for retain and security products
• Notify QA manager of any problems regarding extrusion process
• Perform incoming material inspection for railcar and truckload resins
• Perform daily cleaning and weekly deep clean for lab area according to AIB standard
• Keep lab equipment and instruments in good operational status; perform calibration and verification to these devices in accordance with ISO requirements
• Prepare summary report for lab results
• Assist QA manager in generating work instructions and lab test methods
• Organize and maintain extrusion process checklist and work order sheet
• Maintain filing for extrusion paperwork
• Maintain and file retain samples for extrusion
• Support extrusion department training activities for extrusion operators
• Work scheduled overtime as needed

Requirements

• Associates degree preferred with a concentration in mathematics
• Two (2) to five (5) years' experience in a manufacturing environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Prior quality experience in a similar role utilizing testing equipment, strongly preferred
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, effectively communicate, get along with others, have a positive attitude, and be well organized
• Strong mathematical and attention to detail skills are a plus
• Good computer skills, including Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, etc

• Experience Required: 2-5 years: Previous QA experience in comparable industry/field
