Quality Technician

About the role

NASL is seeking a Quality Technician who plans, coordinates, and implements quality, LEAN and continuous improvement projects to support our Quality Program, Theory of Constraints, sustainable solutions and profitable growth.

Responsibilities

• Conducts Quality Inspections according to quality standards including: ISIR (Initial Sample Inspection Required), Final Inspections, Run Charts and In-Process Inspections
• Troubleshoots quality problems and assists with implementing sustainable solutions
• Develop and maintain an effective calibration system of measuring equipment and check gages
• Develop process and quality control procedures to ensure finished product meets customer’s quality specifications
• Conduct and record sample Pull and Boil
• Research, and test new methods, technologies, equipment, or processes that will improve the overall effectiveness of the organization
• Supports production by assisting with complicated inspection, process capability studies and First piece production approval
• Develop training, and train, employees on quality related practices and best practice requirements company wide
• Work with Engineering, Purchasing, Production and Sales to apply Theory of Constraints and Lean Manufacturing to support profitable growth
• Perform multi-day routine line product audits/inspections
• May perform other duties as assigned
