Responsibilities

• Aid in development of quality and inspection plans from design drawings, meeting company requirements for ISO 9001, ISO 13485
• Program and operate CMM / Faro Arm to specifications
• Analyze and interpret blueprints to include noted specifications and GD&T requirements
• Determine gauge and fixture requirements
• Perform inspection on first piece, in process, purchased part and finished material and products, ensuring conformance to specifications
• Test finished products for paint and plating, quality and thickness, dimensions, profile and appearance
• Complete all required records and paperwork to include inspection reports, damage reports, return reports, and re-work orders
• Analyze quality data, identify problem areas, and assist in resolving manufacturing processes or methods that affect quality
• Perform process capability studies; recommend changes to improve quality
• Ensure product quality and deadlines are met
• Assist the organization in enforcing the Quality System and maintain consistent standards for RTD
• Identify Corrective and Preventative Actions
• Participate in cross-functional teams to address and resolve quality problems; ensure the continuous, on-going improvement of processes and methods
• Coordinate and implement cost saving measures
• Assist in development and implementation of procedures and controls to promote efficient lean operations of the organization and ensure the groups follow those procedures and controls
• Ability to multi-task many jobs
• Able to work overtime when requested to meet the needs of customer timelines
• Comply with all quality, safety, and sanitation regulations
• Recognize, report, and correct errors
• Support the company's quality policy, ISO 9001, ISO 13485, 5S practices, LEAN and world class manufacturing initiatives
• Commit to the corporate goals, mission, and vision
• Regular physical attendance is required
• Travel, as required
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

High school education or GED. Strong mathematical and reasoning abilities. Strong desire to learn new skillset: software, measuring tools, high-tech machines. Must be a U.S. citizen.

Preferred Requirements

• Reverse engineering, Solid Modeling, CMM Programming knowledge
• Blueprint knowledge including GD&T
• Intermediate use of Microsoft software
• Prior experience working with automotive, aerospace and medical industries
• Prior machining or CNC operation
• Experience working in a job shop manufacturing environment

Pay and Schedule

Competitive Pay. Hours: 1st Shift - Five 8-hour days - with overtime as needed.
