Responsibilities
- Aid in development of quality and inspection plans from design drawings, meeting company requirements for ISO 9001, ISO 13485
- Program and operate CMM / Faro Arm to specifications
- Analyze and interpret blueprints to include noted specifications and GD&T requirements
- Determine gauge and fixture requirements
- Perform inspection on first piece, in process, purchased part and finished material and products, ensuring conformance to specifications
- Test finished products for paint and plating, quality and thickness, dimensions, profile and appearance
- Complete all required records and paperwork to include inspection reports, damage reports, return reports, and re-work orders
- Analyze quality data, identify problem areas, and assist in resolving manufacturing processes or methods that affect quality
- Perform process capability studies; recommend changes to improve quality
- Ensure product quality and deadlines are met
- Assist the organization in enforcing the Quality System and maintain consistent standards for RTD
- Identify Corrective and Preventative Actions
- Participate in cross-functional teams to address and resolve quality problems; ensure the continuous, on-going improvement of processes and methods
- Coordinate and implement cost saving measures
- Assist in development and implementation of procedures and controls to promote efficient lean operations of the organization and ensure the groups follow those procedures and controls
- Ability to multi-task many jobs
- Able to work overtime when requested to meet the needs of customer timelines
- Comply with all quality, safety, and sanitation regulations
- Recognize, report, and correct errors
- Support the company's quality policy, ISO 9001, ISO 13485, 5S practices, LEAN and world class manufacturing initiatives
- Commit to the corporate goals, mission, and vision
- Regular physical attendance is required
- Travel, as required
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
High school education or GED. Strong mathematical and reasoning abilities. Strong desire to learn new skillset: software, measuring tools, high-tech machines. Must be a U.S. citizen.
Preferred Requirements
- Reverse engineering, Solid Modeling, CMM Programming knowledge
- Blueprint knowledge including GD&T
- Intermediate use of Microsoft software
- Prior experience working with automotive, aerospace and medical industries
- Prior machining or CNC operation
- Experience working in a job shop manufacturing environment
Pay and Schedule
Competitive Pay. Hours: 1st Shift - Five 8-hour days - with overtime as needed.
