  • Maintain lot control, heat‑number traceability, job tracking, and quality records.
  • Perform equipment calibration and maintain calibration schedules in accordance with ISO requirements.
  • Route parts between machining, deburring, inspection, and outside processing operations.
  • Maintain organized holding and quarantine areas.
  • Prepare certificates of conformance, packing slips, material certifications, and other shipping documentation.
  • Update job statuses in ERP/MRP or shop management systems.
  • Support inventory audits, packaging, shipping, and process improvement projects.
  • Prioritize urgent quality requirements and help prevent production bottlenecks.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in a relevant field or six years of applicable experience.
  • Two to four years of experience in quality inspection, precision manufacturing, machine‑shop operations, shipping, receiving, or shop logistics.
  • Knowledge of QMS and quality control fundamentals.
  • Experience with MRB, NCMR/NCR processes, quarantine, and material disposition.
  • Strong understanding of 8D and root‑cause problem‑solving methods.
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings and apply GD&T principles.
  • Experience using precision inspection equipment and measurement tools.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, communication, and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work for extended periods on a manufacturing floor.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with PC‑DMIS programming.
  • Knowledge of AQL, PFMEA, and process flowcharts.
  • GD&T or Quality Inspection certification.
  • Experience with prototype parts for aerospace, medical device, automotive R&D, robotics, or other high‑tech industries.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP or job‑shop management systems.
  • Forklift certification or experience with pallet jacks and overhead hoists.
  • Knowledge of aluminum, stainless steel, titanium, engineering plastics, and secondary finishing processes.
