Quality Technician
About the role
ABSL Space Products, a division of EnerSys Advanced Systems, is seeking a full-time Quality Technician to perform inspections on manufacturing and test processes. This role reports to the Quality Technician Supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Performs quality control inspection of hardware to aerospace standards, drawings, and work instructions.
- Performs QMS systems checks to ensure compliance with documented facility procedures.
- Performs peer checks for manufacturing and test technicians.
- Performs material kit checks to verify correct materials and material traceability.
- Ensures all build and test documentation is completed correctly.
- Ensures all necessary paperwork and processes are completed following a non-conformance incident to allow build to continue.
- Performs durometer testing.
- Performs incoming inspection of all purchased parts and associated paperwork.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Quality Manager or Quality Inspection Supervisor.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma with 0-2 years' experience as a quality inspector/technician in a high-reliability company, preferably in the aerospace or medical industry.
- Associate’s degree with no experience.
- Ability to work in a team atmosphere as a contributing member.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs. in accordance with OSHA requirements.
- Attention to detail and ability to interpret engineering drawings and procedures.
- Able to occasionally travel to support off-site processes.
- Able to perform inspection tasks using magnification aids.
- Able to obtain the following industry certifications through company-sponsored, off-site training:
- IPC J-STD-001
- IPC/WHMA-A-620
- NASA-STD-8739.1
- Computer competency (proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, electronic travellers, etc.).

Pay
$48,300 - $60,200 (Compensation may vary based on applicant's work experience, education level, skill set, and/or location.)
Schedule
9/80 work schedule (9-hour days Monday–Friday, with every other Friday off)
