About the role

ABSL Space Products, a division of EnerSys Advanced Systems, is seeking a full-time Quality Technician to perform inspections on manufacturing and test processes. This role reports to the Quality Technician Supervisor.

Responsibilities

  • Performs quality control inspection of hardware to aerospace standards, drawings, and work instructions.
  • Performs QMS systems checks to ensure compliance with documented facility procedures.
  • Performs peer checks for manufacturing and test technicians.
  • Performs material kit checks to verify correct materials and material traceability.
  • Ensures all build and test documentation is completed correctly.
  • Ensures all necessary paperwork and processes are completed following a non-conformance incident to allow build to continue.
  • Performs durometer testing.
  • Performs incoming inspection of all purchased parts and associated paperwork.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Quality Manager or Quality Inspection Supervisor.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma with 0-2 years' experience as a quality inspector/technician in a high-reliability company, preferably in the aerospace or medical industry.
  • Associate’s degree with no experience.
  • Ability to work in a team atmosphere as a contributing member.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs. in accordance with OSHA requirements.
  • Attention to detail and ability to interpret engineering drawings and procedures.
  • Able to occasionally travel to support off-site processes.
  • Able to perform inspection tasks using magnification aids.
  • Able to obtain the following industry certifications through company-sponsored, off-site training:
    • IPC J-STD-001
    • IPC/WHMA-A-620
    • NASA-STD-8739.1
  • Computer competency (proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, electronic travellers, etc.).

Pay

$48,300 - $60,200 (Compensation may vary based on applicant's work experience, education level, skill set, and/or location.)

Schedule

9/80 work schedule (9-hour days Monday–Friday, with every other Friday off)
